| Let me tell you about my music studio for
intermediate and advanced students interested in keyboard, musicianship
and creative work. Instruction is offered in my Maynard studio. The typical lesson includes 30 minutes of keyboard, and 15 minutes each of musicianship and creative work. The time devoted to each of these areas varies to meet the student's needs. This combined teaching is essential, however, for training the well rounded musician. I begin sessions with keyboard technique: scales, arpeggii, and repertory are stressed to build fluency in playing. In the teaching of musicianship and creative work, I use MIDI instruments, software and hardware. Many exciting innovations have become available to musicians, and computers and digital keyboards allow music students to benefit from these advances. The student need not provide any extra equipment for this specialized teaching. I have 30 years' experience teaching private students of keyboard, theory and composition. A graduate of Harvard College in 1980 and New England Conservatory in 1976 and 1984, I studied piano with Victor Rosenbaum and composition with Robert Ceely. I am the organist and music director of the Sudbury United Methodist Church, Sudbury, MA. I am a Colleague of the American Guild of Organists. At present, there are openings in the studio for weekday afternoon times, Monday through Friday. Please contact me if you are interested in finding an available time. Single hour lessons: $43.00 |
